The first time you hear it, it would sound familiar, then you realised it's that theme song from CSI Miami.

You decide to check who sang it, when you notice it was The Who, then you remembered they also sang that theme song for CSI Las Vegas, then just for the heck of it, you checked for that theme song for CSI New York, and what do you know, Baba O"Riley is also performed by The Who.

The first few times you listen to Won't Get Fooled Again, you might get annoyed by that constant organ tone. So you ignore it

Then one day while you are not in a very good mood and driving, this annoying song come to play, instead of changing track, you crank the volume up a few notches, then the solo organ part and your brain suddenly seems to be intune with one another, you crank it up further a few more notches, not only are they intune, your entire self comes to realised that this is not an annoying song anymore, but one heck of a song, no! its not one heck of a song, it one of a kind! It's like getting high on music, that organ solo thing, is really hynotizing.

A quick checked on Wikepedia revealed that like all 60s & 70s songs, its about a revolution.

Yes there should be like a covenant like that rainbow thing in Noah days, that it would not rain in the morning especially on a weekday.

Because when it pours in the morning, the office boys cannot get to work, which make our work sangkut in the middle.

Worst hit are those kids that cycle to school.

I don not know which mother fucking prime minister of our decided that it was best to have schools in Malaysia to start at 7.30am.

I cannot see any logical reasons why schools in Malaysia must start at 7.30am.

Nursery logically starts at around 9.00am, which is a splendid time for the parents to sent their kids to nursery and then go to work.

At 7.30am fucking morning, I need to wake up at about 6.00am then ding dong around 7.00am before we leave the house.

Then fucking DBKL had the most mother fucking idea that a fucking secondary school be built just outside our main road.

We only have 1 access road and that is it, schools buses has the perfect sense of dropping the kids at the junction so the kids can walk in, but the mother fucking spoilt kids parents must sent their god damn fucking kids right till the fucking doorsteps.

And in doing so, they have no fucking care in the fucking world, other than getting into the school compound, whether they driving on my side of the road or whether 30 cars are all stuck because they need to sent their god damn kid right to the front door.

And after all this, we need to berhati-hati dijalan raya with the seat belts buckle up ?

How can any sane person still be happy to go to work after a fuck up morning ordeal ?

Fuck the Malaysia education system, fuck which ever minister back in 50s that think fit our children should start school at 7.30am, fuck dbkl for building schools in the most fuck up convenient site and fuck 7.30am.

I don’t know, I find this a little reassuring, prices coming down to terms with reality.

Banks collapsing, exchange rates breaking resistance lines, stock markets free falling to new lows, but in Malaysia, after running on auto pilot during the Ramadan month, the country continues with its auto pilot mode as it decides who is going to run it for the next 4-5 years.

Kangaroo dollar is now around 2.30, sterling pounds following suit to below 6.00, Indian rupees is also at new low hovering slightly above the 7.00 mark however we can’t even get 100 bhat for RM10 and the fucking dollar will be hitting the 3.50 soon enough.

No I don’t read the WSJ or any much economy journal, nor do I understand much of the cnbc squawk box jargon. It’s Friday.

Call it undemocratic, call is race based, call it NEP, call it anything you want. Say we are uncompetitive compared to South Korea, Singapore or even Taiwan.

But right now, all this unfair policies are our resistance lines.

I have been taking public transport more recently around town, so I hop around in the city trains.

One thing I notice is how selfish and self centered we have become.

Hardly anyone offered any seats to the elderly/pregnant/disable folks.

They can just seat there and not care about those around them, speaking loudly on the phone, talking loudly with their friends, always standing at the front of the doors, blocking the entrance and exits, and silliest of all can’t wait to get in the train before others can get out.

We all talk about our corrupted politicians/leaders how they seem to be putting their interest above us and not bothered about the rakyat at all.

How different are the politician then with us ?

We also ignore the needy people like they ignore their duty to serve us.

We act and serve our own needs like they work for their own gain.

In reality we are no difference from this corrupted politicians we so hate, only difference are the quantum and the impact.

If we really want our future leaders to be responsible folks, then we better change our attitude first. If we don’t change and continue with our tidak apa attitude, we will continue to accept our leaders tidak apa attitude.

Anwar wants Sep 23 emergency parliament session, but Pak Lah kata jangan.......

Well that was quick. I was expecting Pak Lah to at least drag it a few days for deliberation and then wait last minute to decline it to buy him more time because afterall he is a man under siege.

Now all bets are off. The language of violent oppression is. Because the last best hope of a smooth transition is not going to happen. The best chance to broker a deal has been declined. Its either do or die for BN.

And if we follow the ebb and flow of the happenings since early September, there can be no mistaking that BN is very weary of PR having secured the required number of jumpers to form a majority in the Parliament. (Again it is not important whether Anwar has it but it is vitally important that BN thinks that Anwar has it)

Pak Lah says there will be no more ISA anytime soon. Flip-flop? Or perhaps an even more effective form of oppression could be utilised. A declaration of emergency (Darurat) would make ISA arrest unnecessary.

ISA or Darurat to keep BN in power which one would he choose?

And with Anwar neutralised, the jumpers list would be unimportant....i would even say that Pak Lah hopes that he would not need to look at the jumpers list. By Pak Lah not knowing, the would be jumpers would not be forced to confront BN. The choice is still open to them to continue to be obedient BN followers as if nothing have happened. And BN would manage to survive this near overthrow without any damage, to continue to pillage Malaysia until their next crisis.

Thats why i tend to agree that the list should not come out now. But the list should come out when BN commits themselves in to an(unpopular) action. By making the list public then, BN would have no choice but to confront enemies from within while trying to hold off the enemies at the gate.

So now would BN kindly make the first move?

Pak Lah DID NOT call Anwar's bluff!!

Pak Lah said that he would not be meeting Anwar on Anwar's offer on showing him the 'proof' of defections. Which would thereby force Anwar to bring the 'proof' to YDP Agong.

When the YDP Agong then peruse the 'proof', he may have no choice but to call for the dissolution of the parliament and to call for a snap election. But then everybody knows that in the next election, BN would be wiped out.

Which would then give Pakatan Rakyat the Federal government without the worry of the ethical dilemma of governing with 'jumpers'.

Think about it, Anwar knows months ago that Sep 16 is during ramadhan and that parliament would not be in session. And taking advantage of BN being the 'bad guy' (which hollywood shows us that the bad guys are prone to double crossing and backstabbing their own brother-bad guys just so that they would be able to take control of the organisation and rule the galaxy or something) which translate to BN's natural fear of double crossings and back stabbing from within their own ranks, to compound upon Pak Lah's paranoia that he really is under siege.

And with the best way of calling the bluff by moving a motion of no confidence unavailable due to the parliament not in session, everyone would give Anwar the benefit of the doubt and believe what could possibly be just some letters with some signatures on it.

Now, if Pak Lah were to meet with Anwar, he would be able to somewhat ascertain the validity of the list of defectors. By looking at the list of names, he may be able to recall if that someone have been acting strange or maybe look at pak lah in some sort of funny ways or that he had on occasions seen the particular MP winking at someone before ~~and that the MP treats Pak Lah especially nice to make up for the guilt of betraying him~~.

But no. Pak Lah is too afraid to call the bluff. By being afraid he is actually folding his hand and letting Anwar take the pot. And soon Anwar would go to YDP Agong and again because the parliament is not in session and due to Pak Lah having chickened out, the benefit of the doubt would be given and a snap election would be called. BN would then be defeated soundly and everybody lives happily ever after.

Then maybe a few years later, Anwar would be giving a speech on Malaysia Day 16 Sep 20xx that the country was freed from the clutches of BN because a certain somebody chickened out and did not call his bluff.

Later on his deathbed, Anwar would then let it all out that on that day 16 Sep 2008, he actually have less than 10 MP defectors but because someone is too chicken to call his bluff, he brought down the goliath just by his exceptional poker face and would then give his very stale(at that time) joke of "Tengok ini muka. Saya umur 90 tapi muka nampak macam 60"

But then again, if parliament convenes and vote of no confidence on Pak Lah goes through, Pak Lah would have lost the ability to utilise the power to crakdown on Pakatan Rakyat.

So how now Pak Lah, crackdown now and risk being extremely unpopular and losing the government slowly but surely? Chicken out and risk gracefully losing the the government in a short time? Or meet Anwar and risk being suspected by your own people of striking a deal with Anwar?

See, actually i think BN is overwhelmingly out maneuvered by Anwar and for every move Anwar make, BN is stuck with moves raging from bad to worst. And then come Mahathir which is coming to eat Pak Lah up if he refuse to move.

Sudahlah. If i am Pak Lah, i would quickly strike a deal and call it a day.

Ocean’s 11, 12 & 13 was ok.

But my personal favorite is that 1970’s The Sting, Robert Redford & Paul Newman.

I guess in between Newman’s The Sting & Ocean’s 11, 12 or 13, there must have been dozens of films with similar themes, some are more dramatic or more horrific. But at the end they all share the same theme, someone got conned into believing something else.

Such shows are great, I remember watching The Sting, not in 1973 but later, don’t recall when, and I actually bought the scheme until the end, when another scheme was brought up, like the Malays would say it, sudah kena kantoi.

This makes me wonder if this September 16, is what The Sting is all about.

Ducky personally has no idea how this Permatang Pauh by-election is going to turn out.

From how I see it, it can indeed go either way.

For Anwar, he must win, there is no doing a Lee Chong Wei, I did my best and a silver was all I can do. It is the gold or bust. All the while he is out there preaching that people are behind him, people are willing to switch political party for him, he got the numbers, he got this, he got that, but till very now, no one saw any thing. So to prove some points that he got something, he got to win one way or another.

For BN, the burden or winning is not so great, it was after all a lost seat in the opposition state. But bringing the gold here, would show to the Malaysian Public that Anwar is not that powerful as he preached. And that would do wonders for BN.

I don't like China, I prefer Russia, but as long as team USA didn't win, it works for me just fine. Next 4 years you can bet you are going to see a very much changed team USA.

Thanks to the by-election, the price of fuel is being reduced after tonight midnight. In order to appease to the voters in Permatang Pauh, BN is willing to take a corruption-pay cut by reducing the fuel price for all Malaysians.

With this, lets hope that Sodoman will be voted in with a higher majority and then, maybe, BN would be so desperate that they will reduce it further.

It seems like a win-win situation. Vote Sodoman, if he forms new govt, price decrease. Vote Sodoman, if he does not form new govt, BN would be rakyat-phobic and would further reduce fuel prices. Whereas vote BN, they will increase the fuel price a few months down the road(it happens every single time)

Long have we lived in this country blinded by racial and religious curtains.

The banning of Avril either by PAS indirect actions is good enough for the BN government to relay upon its quite message. Vote for PAS is a vote to censorship and end of fun and entertainment.

Young people at heart and yuppies my guess would feel the uneasy feeling of their freedom being encroach upon.

Not that young people at heart with kids and all that are trying to bring up their children with those 70s & 80s loving kindred spirit may find all this hoo-hah as noises.

Does a handful of ban concert so important in your life that banning it makes your blood boils with hatred for PAS and whomever concern that had a hand involve in banning it.

There is more things in life to be more concern about then some chicks singing on stage sexy or not.

I peep out of my office window, and noticed that the highway heading towards the city was pretty damn slow.

So I check Malaysiakini and PPS thinking it was some roadblock again. But found nothing.

So during lunch time I went down and still notice the traffic heading towards the city was still very bad, so I decided to ask some of the kay-poh traders downstairs.

Apparently, according to them, from whichever sources they got it from, a big long ass trailer, coming down from the Taman Connaught MRR2 exit lost control and ramp straight ahead into the steel divider bringing along with it a handful of cars, some say 7, some say 8, and finally slamming into the concrete wall of Giant CMC.

Some say many people died, star-online said 2 with many injured.

No pictures as eventually, many other more famous bloggers might write something about it with pictures.

Thinking about the accident, I might actually died today since I passed by there everyday to work, but by luck or whatever unseen natural forces, I was late/early and was lucky.

I decided to check on as many blogs/site & comments on last night debate.

Sure enough, majority of the readers & writers felt saudara Anwar slaughtered the Minister of Information word for word.

But ducky disagree, ducky felt, the Minister came to do a specific job and actually did the job mighty well.

Both men had specific agendas on their mind.

Saudara to highlight the corruption practice of BN by simply having the excuse of a fuel debate. Mr. Minister on the other is to remind us what saudara used to be and that we should be very afraid of him.

Given saudara’s extensive experience in public speaking and all sorts of ceramah and lectures in Malaysia and abroad, ducky wasn’t really impressed. Mr. Minister whether he had the experience in this kind of field, I have no idea, but ducky thought he did held himself pretty well, like how the Russian kick the Netherlands ass.

Simply put it, saudara has too many skeletons in the closet, and people with too many interesting past can’t really impress other more intellectual people unless they really start doing more action then talking. Err, I mean the other kind of action.

I dare say I an brave enough to attend a rally, maybe be sprayed by a laced water cannon, but not being beaten by the FRU, kick or assaulted. Not lock up in Sg. Buluh or ISA. I am angry and pissed as you are, but I have kids and a wife. Who is going to look after them ? I got to worry about their future and mine too.

Unless you are ready and willing to go all the way against them, I don't see any end to the current conflict. Like most elderly people would say, just migrate.

News on use of military in our streets seem to shut some of us up. I have seen FRU, they look pretty nasty, but at the end of day, they are to protect and serve. The army on the other hand, kills for a living.

Stop paying balance of your taxes please

I understand some quarters of the blogging community have decided to go on strike on dis-satisfactory on the government rules and policies, ducky not wanting to be left out, decides to go on some form of strike as well. "stop paying your balance of tax" or simply delaying paying your balance of tax strike.

If after the April or June Tax deadline of tax submission, you have some balance of tax to pay, don't bother, don't pay them. I didn't pay them. Are satisfied with your present government ? No ? then don't pay the balance of taxes lah.

Penalty ? Court Case ? Imprisonment ?
Fear not, from a person who practice tax, these procedures takes at a couple of years before it finally happens. Just ignore all their threats letter until they finally decide to really get real nasty on you like a court hearing date. Then you slowly slumberly go to your tax office to meet the tax officers, tell them one hell long of a story with proof of this and that why you cannot pay your RM?????? tax and ask for an installment payment.

Ok disclaimer, but if you constantly need to travel in and out of the country, then it is better to have a clean sheet, as those fuckers will tagged you up with the Immigration and Police department, then you can kiss your passport goodbye.

All else, it should be good to avoid paying your balance of taxes for a couple of years.

Good, now you also can go on strike.

Providence and Poetic Justice

Within the next 3 months, the Pakatan Rakyat will form the federal government. So say the charismatic DS Anwar, the PM-in-waiting. Here's hoping for better times ahead for Malaysia.

But of course PR is not home free yet. There is still the matter of how they are going to set in motion a smooth transition of power. The final hurdle so to speak. What BN could do and Rashit have threaten many times is that with the jumping of MP's from BN to PR, Pak Lah is going to call for a snap election. I understand that calling the snap election is the prerogative of YDP Agong. But our YDP is supposed to be apolitical and hence may actually call for the snap election if BN were to lose their majority. With the snap election a whole new round of cheating will be done by BN and perhaps even a lockdown on the opposition before the polls.

But fate it seems might have a sense of irony. The answer to the solution of smooth transition may be the very person that made sure our PM-in-waiting was knocked off the waiting list more than 10 years ago. And now the very same person is going to do PR a favour.

The Tun with his unrelenting call for Pak Lah to step down may just get his wish when UMNO were to push Pak Lah out of office anytime from now till December. Already the Tun have secured a retirement "promise" from Pak Lah. But still the Tun is pressing on for an immediate downfall of Pak Lah it seems.

But lets imagine that Pak Lah have to resign or retire from President of UMNO and hence the President fro BN and the Prime Ministership. The YDP would then appoint someone who have the support of the majority of Parliament to be the next Prime Minister.

Now....if at that exact moment where Pak Lah is forced to resign/retire, the jumpers comes in and declare their support for PM-in-waiting or DS Wan Azizah, The YDP Agong might just put PR into power.

No fuss, no snap election.

Lets recap,

3. YDP appoints Mr. or Mrs. Anwar
4. Victory!!!

It is difficult to distinguish a sole proprietor expenses with his personal expenses.

So to make it easier, you would need to add back 1/3 portion of the total expenses claim.

So at the bottom line, instead of just paying for bills, you now, utilise your expenses as a business expenses. And if your expenses is more than your income, which is the sole reason we are doing this, you get to set off that loss with your SALARY Income ! Isn't that wonderful !

Do away with BN and Minimum Wages might just see the light

Every time MTUC demands for minimum wages, the answer is always NO. There is always an excuse, lame reasons and most of the time illogical answers.

There seems to be something more than just money. For 40 over years MTUC has been trying to get minimum wages but yet seem to fail. Maybe MTUC wants to fail, maybe it is just a ploy, to deceive the millions of workers that it represent, that MTUC is doing something, just like the BN government. But in actual fact, nothing.

How can it logically be asking for minimum wages for over 40 years and yet fail and yet they do nothing about it. Make sense right, if you are not happy with your boss, you fucking tell him in his face or you quit and get a better job. This MTUC no. Try for 40 years fail, lets try another 40 years. The sum just doesn't adds up.

It is just something not acceptable anymore. Even poorer third world countries in Latin America or nearer here, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia or Vietnam, do have minimum wages. Yes those minimum wages might not meet certain international standards but it is still a minimum wage. You see the logic here ?

Reason for this, most government fear their citizens, fear of the citizens revolting against them. Here it is the total opposite thanks to ISA. The BN trump card, it will never be abolish as long as BN rules. It is a quick YOU SHUT UP card. Lose an argument, no worries, just throw in your ISA card, 5 HINDRAF leaders in Kamunting.

With escalating food prices nowadays, I pity those trying to meet ends meet. Trying to raise a family with a couple of hundred of ringgits a month. Inflation my ass. We have the money to burn rocket fuel to space but no money for minimum wages. We have the money to sponsor a Formula 1 team but no money for minimum wages. We have money to sponsor a football team but no money for minimum wages.

Both Thailand & the Philippines minimum wages are around RM600-700, maybe MTUC can lower their minimum wage demand from RM900 to around RM600-700, to standardise the minimum wage in the region. Unfortunately Indonesia's minimum wages is about RM300-400 only.

Alternatively, the only way I see minimum wage to be accepted, is to do away with BN and let the other guys run the country since the other guys have people that actually advocate for minimum wage rights.

Ahh, I think it has been a while since I wrote anything.

Lets see. Parliament sessions has started again.

But first thing first, there seems to be a lot of people out there, maybe only people that read and write blogs/websites/etc only. That seems to think BN did a hell of a good job actually. How did I came up with such a conclusion ? Well there is the usual, lets give the opposition 4-5 years and see how they fare, if they fuck up, we will just vote the other guys back in !

And then there is the other part in which whenever the oppositions started to have some small disagreement or conflict of interest, the people that voted for them, starts to regret ever voting for them.

And lastly, the worst kind, people that feels since they voted for the opposition and with their help, the opposition manage to win many seats, so the opposition better listen to them, or else back to point no. 1, vote back BN.

I have no regret whatsoever that I voted for the opposition. Even if they fuck up or not, I won't regret a bit. BN had never did me any favour as long as I can remember, so what the fuck do you want to vote back BN, just because the opposition cannot work together ? Think think think dickheads, BN ruled for 50 long fucking years, whatever differences in 50 year, they have learned to accept without asking.

This is 2 months, what the fuck do you expect ?

Put it this way, 3 different parties mean maybe no toeing the line.

Prophecy or Mind-games?

Have you heard of the term a self-fulfilling prophecy?

DSAI made a "prophecy" that BN MP's would jump in sufficient numbers for PR to form the federal government.

I do not know whether this is true at this time or not. But the beauty of such mind-games is that with the help of BN itself, the "prophecy" may well end up fulfilled.

Remember that as soon as there was a mention of BN MP's jumping ship, BN was so scared they sent spies to BN MP's to make sure that they wont jump.

And then of course the BN MP's regardless of whether they wanted to jump or not, was quite pissed with those snoops. So pissed that loyal MP's are now considering a jump?

Perhaps after reading into the reaction from Federal BN regarding the threats of jumping, East Malaysia's BN MPs saw the opportunity to pressure PM for more representation from Sabah and Sarawak.

But alas, PM saw their bluff and was able to prevent East Malaysia gaining grounds in federal govt. But after this "setback" how many of this East Malaysia BN MPs are contemplating to jump?

Now recently DSAI made a statement that the BN MPs are ready to jump within this few months. And then followed by a statement that DSAI would become PM within 3 years.

Now what would BN do in the face of these new revelations? Do they step up the surveilance within this 4 months and risk pissing off the BN MPs to the stage where they will be forced to jump, or would BN just ignore this threat and give DSAI a free hand in negotiating with BN's MP?

And what is the 3 years time frame to become PM when DSAI mentioned that BN MPs would jump within this few months? Is DSAI's 3 years statement made to throw BN off guard to make them think that they can have a lesuirely 3 years to come up with a defence instead of 4 months?

The beauty of this self-fulfilling prophecy is that PR may not have any jumpers from BN when DSAI first made the statement. PR may not have the jumpers even now. But depending on BN's action or inaction, PR may have it by 4 months time.

And this has become quite entertaining and im sure we Malaysians would want to know the outcome of this political drama barring any later plot twist and further revelations, would hope that this drama would end soon in 4 months time. I'm personally hoping that this is The Return of the Jedi instead of The Empire Strikes Back.

Actions speaks louder than words

Both Barisan Alternatif and Barisan Nasional claims that they have around 50% of popular support each. There is no arguments about BA, but for BN, it would be more like 10% popular support, 10% postal votes, 10% phantom votes, 10% government servants' forced votes and 10% outright cheating.

It is not called a disaster for BN if they really get 50% popular votes. It is a disaster for BN because they(BN) knew that without all this cheating, they would get less than 10%, more or less popular votes.

And here we are at the crossroad of malaysia's political uncertainty given that BN's MP are ready to jump ship, we can hear some grumbling about respecting the peoples' wishes and that the people have voted for BN, etc..

The reason that most BN MP's are voted in is because of cheating by BN. Without it, most of them would have bungkus and lost their deposit even.

To the BN MP who would like to jump ship, there would not be any backlash from your constituency it may even be your moral obligation to go over to BA. By going over to BA, the BN MP could count on among others(many others), the parents of children forced to go to the death trap called national service, the users of toll who gets cheated of their hard earned money, paying for utilities such as water and electricity at inflated prices and so on....

The BN are now doing an "autopsy" for their election loss. The BN leaders themselves say that it was a very bad result for them. So much so that some of them are even refusing cabinet posts. BN does not sound like someone that have won 50% popular votes. In fact they sound more like they are fearing for their political career. Only they themselves would know how much of the claimed 50% of popular votes are actually real votes. But you must take it from them, look at their actions and see for yourselves, their very fear of malaysians who have had enough and ready for a change of government. Their very action speaks louder than whatever rhetorics and propoganda that they could put into words.

The 12th General Election - Malaysian best movie of the century

Forget about Jangan Pandang Belakang, Impak Maksima, Cuci or even Duyung .

The best Malaysian movie made or better yet, RTM & SPR made for 2008 is non other then the 12th General Election results.

It has all the categories sum into one fucking long show, from suspense (Perak's State Candidate seats when BN trailing closely) to drama (Koh Su Kun press release on handing over Penang to Opposition) to comedy (Samy losing) and non-stop action packed (All night long).

I would't mind watching a repeat if that is possible.

The only thing lacking in that long show was the expression by those losing BN candidates or even better the Menteri-Menteri Besar and Chief Minister of each losing State, especially in Penang and Selangor.

Else the 12th GE can even stand for best acting by an individual.

Its like FIFA World Cup meets Jerry Bruckheimer meets The Godfather.

And since it is such a BIG thing, a song to mark the changes should be sung like Scorpion did in The Wind of Change by great Malaysian artistes known by all generations of Malaysian like Zainal Abidin or Ramli Sarip or better yet, Ella like when she sang for that 1998 Malaysian Commenwealth Games theme song.

What is NEP?

Please note that the above title is not meant to be a question. If you came here armed with an answer, sorry but please hold on to it first and let me indulge you in something which is on my mind about NEP.

To me, a working class chinese, NEP is RM0.57 per meter cube of Syabas supplied water (Selangor& K.L). NEP is also about foreign cars priced beyond ordinary malaysians reach. NEP is about paying extra for daily necessities and etc. But is NEP any different for all Malaysians?

Pak lah probably pays as mush for water as me. It is a fixed price.(for under certain amount of m3, when more are used, it is RM1.92) No matter if you are the prime minister or poor malaysians of all races, you will pay RM0.57(in Sel&KL). And i assure you why we all, regardless of age, gender, race and social status, pays 0.57 per meter cube, is because of NEP. Why are malaysians, including the poor, including bumiputra poors, pays 0.57 just because of NEP? Without this water NEP we would have paid 20-30 sens instead of 57 sens. Is helping a few bumiputra to become a billionaire more important than helping the poor, which includes bumiputra poor? I personally have no problem paying water bills. Instead of RM8.00, i pay RM14-15. But are the poor willing to pay for this NEP?

And then comes the AP. How many times have you read in the newspaper when there are fatal accidents, the victims are usually driving in some locally made cars? What more 9 out of 10 of the accidents the victim are malays. Why should we support mediocrity in locally made cars and price the imported cars out of reach of every Malaysians? NEP? Would the victims especially the malay victims support this NEP?

Rising price of necessities, all because of cronies, corruption and wastages of NEP. These are being paid for by all Malaysian, again including the poor. If the price of roti canai is 80 sens for me, it wil be 80 sens for Ah Kau, 80 sens for Muthu and 80 sens for Ali. And yes even Ali needs to pay 80 sens.
NEP, which is to enrich a handful of bumiputras, are paid for by all Malaysians. And i need to stress the point that even poor bumiputra Malaysians pay for NEP.

To pay for the NEP, to me, it is like buying a AMD insted of INTEL and drinking ais kosong instead of teh tarik. But to the poor who similiarly needs to pay for NEP, they probably pay for it by skipping a few meals and a few doctor's appoinment.

Andi really need to stress that the price i pay for NEP can be illustrated as drinking ais kosong instead of Teh tarik. And i am quite sure anyone who can afford a computer or can afford internet, pays the same price i am paying or if you are rich, you may not even notice it. But to those poor that cannot afford internet access, cannot afford to buy a computer, they are probably paying the price by skipping a few meals.

BN and especially UMNO have been telling lies for so long that they even lie to their own. The fallacy that all or most Bumiputra would benefit from NEP is just not possible. The economic pie is just not big enough. Even in Uncle Sam country, the largest economy in the world, you could find homeless people.

And to DAP and PKR, i would just like to say that in Malaysia, to stop the NEP is political suicide. Even the mighty BN could not survive if they were to stop NEP. Lim Guan Eng and Tan Sri Khalid are either visionaries or plain fools. Lim Guan Eng is an accountant. Tan Sri Khalid is a former CEO. Most DAP, PKR and PAS leaders are lawyers, doctors and professionals. These guys are perfectly capable of absorbing the effect of NEP. Why should people like them fight NEP and risk their reputation and political careers, not to metion ISA? Why should Anwar who is rumoured to be very well to do, risk coming back to Malaysia? Why did Lim Kit Siang who have fought this system for 40 years while getting demonised by the Malays, the Chinese and the Indians, even bother to still pursue his political ideals?

Why would any politician in the opposition risk ISA to fight for what they believe and to fight for the poor? And please remember that the states that was captured by the opposition are the so called "rich" states. It would not be too far off to say that the people who have voted for you, are in the majority, not really effected by the NEP.

And to the handful of Malays who stand to benefit from NEP, please ask yourself is becoming a millionaire through NEP worth having asking the poor to skip a few meals just so you can achieve your dream? And these poor which would invariably include a large portion of your own race?

During the run up to the elections, i tried to convince my friends to pangkah PAS just because there was a winds of change and that they should just send BN packing.

Once the opposition smells victory by pushing back BN in parliament and states seats, there are people who comes out and declare that race based politics is over and new begining etc.

And then everywhere i look there were "advices" offered by people/bloggers to the new Barisan Alternatif/Rakyat on how to run the states. But i must ask those people, what makes you think you can dictate what a political party does or not do? No offence intended, but who made you the advisers to the political parties? But this is of course expected. What i did not expect was....

And then yesterday LKS made a remark that they do not support PAS candidate as MB. My first reaction and also most peoples reaction was that he should have discussed this behind closed door and come to a compromise with other opposition parties. But at that time i came across a new type of blogger. These bloggers are what i called Closet Racists. They were the ones who cheered and extolled the virtues of non racial policy but at the first opportunity they get they go after the first chinaman they see. LKS did say he would be agreeable if a PKR assemblyman becomes MB. The candidates does include a PKR malay. But does the closet racist see this? No, they just come out bursting from their closet.

To appease the closet racist, LKS appologised to the Sultan and Regent. Thought that it ended there? Far from it. the closet racist is still out for blood. Maybe the non malays did the right thing in 1999....at least they did not need to deal with a closet racist. They dealt directly with BN who is an open racist. Better the devil you know.....

I dont know what is going on behind the scenes but now i personally have told my friends who voted for PAS that a PAS MB shouldnt be that bad because i imagined all PAS assemblymen to be like Nik Aziz but this image was quickly dispelled by the latest revelations that state PAS have a high degree of autonomy and not under the purview of HQ PAS plus the rumour that PAS assemblymen in Selangor would jump ship if they did not get some senior post in the state govt. I am now getting ready to kena from my friends because of this.

So what now? Would Perak PAS jump to BN if they are not given any post? Heard that Selangor Deputy MB would be from PAS. Probably to appease PAS from jumping ship. The next round, I would only urge my friends to vote for PKR and DAP or some State PAS that i can trust. Definately not Selangor or Perak.

An opposition pact was a real possibility but, well, it was good while it last.

Part 1

On the 8th of March, many people just went to the polling station to marked "X" on some pieces of paper. But I think most of them have no idea what they were doing at all. All they knew was they had to get rid of BN. Period.

The Malay felt that the UMNOputras was cheating them.

The Chinese felt that the MCA was just a useless pet dog of Pak Lah.

And the Indians, well the Indians were all fired up since the HINDRAF movement.

So, this millions of people went to the polling station with all this pent up anger, and they voted. They all voted for the oppositions. There were no longer racial barriers, the Chinese voted for Moon & The Eye, the Malays voted for the Rocket and the Indians voted for anything on that piece of paper other than BN.

It is like when you are pissed with something, you no longer see the whole picture, you only see and hear what your mind at that moment of time wants to process. At that moment of time, BN sucks, big time. Nothing BN does matters anymore. Your mind was set, one agenda, hapuskan BN.

So we have this historical election. BN was shocked beyond belief. It is like losing a sure bet. Same goes for the opposition, BN head upon the silver platter. That would be like winning a 25-1 Quinella odd.

Now that the opposition has won many many seats plus many many states, these people are not that pissed anymore, they start to behave like the old typical Malaysian. The BN Malaysian.

Like that how to maju ? Malu got lah.

You want BN out yes ? You want change yes ? But you cannot accept a Chinese for MB ?

Yes, you, me and 5 million other people voted for the BR, yes, we got the power to decide who we want to govern us, but this is inter-parties decisions, by the very right DAP has 18 seats, PKR has 7 & PAS 6. You put 6 & 7, you only get 13. And furthermore, you that person that decides which state government you want to govern you, chose DAP, a race base party, what the fuck are you so fucking upset now.

You imagine lah, you and a group of friends create a group study before STPM, everyday you guys study together, test each other & help each other. Suddenly every fucking small incident is somehow reported by the MSM as causes unknown and possibly related to the outcome of the 12th GE with a hint of incitement.

Do watch berita on TV3, yesterday some small tiny place got bakar besides that MIC centre and some breaking-in in some tadika in Kedah, made the news, with reasons unknow and cause of fire also unknown but could be related to the results of the 12 GE. This is outright inciting certain quarters to feel uneasy. Before this GE, the media would report on incidents as still under investigation or something. Now, it is causes unknown. They are baiting people to think of the worst case scenario. I would really like to know if there were any instructions by the pihak atasan, meaning the person who will most benefit if there is an emergency.

To be leaning in BN's favour is one thing, now they are trying to instill hatred and incite communal feelings. There is a no newspaper on Tuesday, maybe there should be a switch off the TV day or something.

Cleaning up Selangor Govt.

This cleaning up of Selangor govt would be a hell of a ride and if Barisan Alternatif does intend to clean it. First few things that pops to mind are

1) Puncak Niaga
2) Toll
3) Kempen-kempen to beautify______

The first one would be the water thingy. In Selangor and Federal territories ex-Labuan, home users pay around 0.57 per meter cube and 1.92 per meter cube when exceeding 20M3 per month. In this case, i know i would be riduculed, but i just have to say that any amount above 0.10-0.20 per meter cube and millions would go to somebody's pocket(at current charge, billions goes to somebody's pocket). But let the people be the judge. Lets see how much the water tariff looks like after the new state govt settles in.

The second thing would be toll rate for non-federal roads. I'm not too sure whether toll highways are considered federal roads or not, but even if it is, the new state govt could build better alternative roads. Preferably right next to the current tolled roads.

The third thing must or rather absolutely must be stopped. There are some division heads of the previous government's company which does almost nothing but beautify the river. Im not too sure amount the amount but if i have to guess, it would be hundreds of million per year just to "beautify the river" or "beautify the ____town". It remains to be seen what would happen.

But if PKR govt actually stops this, there may be retaliation by the federal govt because their cronies rice bowl would be smashed.But as days goes by, it is becoming likely that the political will of BA to stop BN from sucking the people's money, will not be as what we would have expected. Given that the Federal Govt have all but stopped their attacks against BA, i got this feeling that something is being negotiated. But you may never know, because on BA's side there is a man who claims to have been wronged by the federal govt and was jailed for 6(?) years. And i understand that this man is not the forgive and forget kind of person.

Well let us just wait and see.....

Seeing how congested streamyx was yesterday, We at ducky decided not to post any updates on the 12th GE as Malaysiakini, dap-election, the-star-on-line, harakahdaily was already doing a fantastic job in bringing us all the update, especially Malaysiakini. Clap-Clap.

Furthermore, this is the first time that internet connection actually had an added advantage over the local media.

Those that already been keeping updated from Malaysiakini, would already have realised that the opposition had taken Penang & Kelantan by 8.30pm, Kedah by 11.00pm, Selangor by 12.25am & Perak by 1.50am. Where else all free TV & Astro 501 & 502 was still announcing BN's victory in Sabah & Sarawak.

If i am not mistaken, Penang was the first state that was announced taken by the opposition as Dr. Koh has already called for a press conference by 10.30pm. So there was no point in hiding that fact.

Tahniah also need to be given to SPR, to withheld the results of the 12th GE especially the lost of Kedah, Kelantan, Perak & Selangor. My guess if SPR had made results announcement as they are being received, eg the lost of hot seats, the lost of Penang & Kedah, Sunday morning might be a little different.

And of course all those that made the wind of change blew a little harder.

My sympathy to Dr. Koh, if you had watch his press conference last night, his poker face told it all. It was like he had "sei lou tau" already. I guess that is what happen when you play with fire.

Time to wrap up.

If the opposition wins more then 1/3 of parliament, then we, malaysians would have achieved our mission. Anything more would be a bonus. Without 2/3 majority, BN would be unable to hold on to their axis of corrupted.

Lets look at it like this, BN is like a medievel knight on horseback. He could ride out of the castle and ride in to the village to slaughter anyone with impunity. Just so you know, medievel horseback armoured knight is almost invincible in the medievel age. Think of it like a Level 99 Dark Knight that can cast cure on itself, slaughtering 1000 level 1 peasents. But then, if you unhorse the rider, which is what will happen if you deny BN 2/3 majority, it would be like a level 10 Wizard cast a curse on the Level 99 Dark Knight which halfs his speed, attack, defense, magic resistance and his ability to cast cure. If this were to happen, The 1000 level 1 peasents would be joined by another 200 or so peasant to come and slaughter that Dark Knight.

Now this 200 or so Level 1 Peasants are under control and basically enslaved by the Dark Knight. They are otherwise known as the government servants as in they serve the Dark Knight. They are basically held at gunpoint to do the Dark Knight's bidding. In 24 hours time, the enslaved Peasants would be unleashed and asked to go to the voting stations. With a very heavy heart they would have to do the Dark Knights bidding. With the 1000 or so peasant still undecided on whether they should try to unhorse the Dark Knight or just do nothing and be slaughtered by the Dark Knight whereas the Level 10 Wizard still requires time to prepare the spell, the 200 peasant would have no choice but to vote the Dark Knight.

So lets vote for the Level 10 Wizard, the Barisan Rakyat. And it doesnt matter if you are Elvish, Dwarven or Halflings. Just do not vote for the Dark Knight.

OK there are rumours going around that some shitty things might happen after election whether BN win or lose. (No need to elaborate OK)

How I see it, this is not 1969. We are much mature now. And we have very fast means of communication. SMS.

If by chance story of Chinese beating Malays or vice versa got passed onto you, as a person who has the means to spread this story, you should be very careful in your next decision. This is what I will do.

I will rebuke that story and I will say that I was there and it wasn't Malay vs Chinese, it was some Indonesian vs Chinese/Malays. If you like the Indonesians, make it Nepalese, Myanmar, Indians, Pakistanis or Bangladeshis.

Whether you believe in that May 13 book written by Kua Kia Soong does not matter. What matters most is peace after election. BN will make sure there is no peace if they were to ever lose that 2/3 majority. Chaos is BN only last hope of survivor. And the told you so will be thrown at us.

Component party's blues

Being a component party in BN such as PPP is like an "anak angkat" as described by Kayveas. But is party like Gerakan any better off? There is already a rumour that the next CM of Penang would be from UMNO although i dont believe that to be true but history, at least favour the rumour. Remeber Sabah? There was supposed to be a rotation of CM in Sabah but the current CM was already the CM even before Pak Lah became the PM. And that to me was like an eternity ago.....or to pak lah, 10 minutes ago.

But coming back to our Kayveas from PPP, the most memorable quote he had made was that he threaten to quit politics because he also have maruah. All this because Gerakan and PPP have to fight for bread crumbs like Taiping. But that was weeks ago and Kayveas is still around and got his parliament candidacy but Lim Keng Yaik have quit politics or so it seems.

So in one corner, Kayveas got maruah and he would not back down and then on another side, Gerakan is going to lose their right to contest in a parliament constituency. On top of the unconfirmed rumour about Penang CM going to UMNO, Gerakan is in a hell of a pinch.

But being the referee, Pak Lah have to solve this problem. On hindsight, i would believe that the way he solved the problem was he go for the maruah guy.

To make it more clear cut, we only need to look at what Lim Keng Yaik said about Anwar.

Lim Keng Yaik said that when Anwar was the Education Minister, Anwar tried to some hanky panky to the vernacular schools. And that would be like at least 15 years ago. But did Lim Keng Yaik threaten to quit because of this because he have maruah? Nope.

He choose to remain quiet about this and went on to serve at least 5 more years together with Anwar, which Dr. Lim have alledge to have been an anti-chinese. But when Anwar became the DPM, i vaguely remember that Lim Keng Yaik still shakes his hand....still sing praises to Anwar.... where is the maruah?

And you know what? I think Pak Lah have made the correct decision. The Taiping seat candidacy rightly belongs to PPP.

But since the Dr. Lim is in such a talkative mood, we must ask him on whether there are any expose in which he wished to tell Malaysian. Or do we need to wait 15 years for him to spill the beans on Najib? or Hishamuddin? or Abdulah?

So which minister is Dr. Lim gonna cucuk belakang next? er... when i say cucuk belakang, i meant it in a political context.

On a side note, i just would have to mention this, have anyone notice that there is a pecking order in BN on who can angkat bola on whom? Because Dr. Lim potrayed Najib as the saviour in this vernacular school issue and i am quite sure he also angkat Anwar's bola when Anwar was the DPM, and hence Gerakan carry DPM's balls and MCA carry PM's balls. Please, anyone noticed this?

So lets do Gerakan a favour. Give them maruah. Wipe them out in this GE and save them from the humiliation of carrying the DPM's balls.

I have been watching DSAI videos on utube and I just have to raise my hats off to him, he is quite a speaker. Remarkable speaker, I wonder is there any politician that can match him in public speaking.

But one thing I am not convince though after attending DAP ceramahs, many Chinese voters still fell DSAI as that rioting guy in 1999. That is how they still portray him and BN is still cashing in on this.

Mahathir himself was expel from UMNO many years ago, our Bapa Kemerdekaan joined Semangat 46 in those days together with Hussein I think. When Mahathir was the 4th PM the Chinese didn't like him. He was seen as pro-Malays then.

Clinton had a sex scandal, Hilary is running for President. Everyone hated the Nazis then, people seem to like Schumacher & Scorpions just fine.

Like orang tua kata, itu cerita dulu, dulu lain, sekarang lain.

Bogey man and fall guys

Just read about the news report about EC chairman's house got vandalised.

And then i also came across a new report about keadilan's Bilik Gerakan got vandalised.

Now if it is not too far fetched, i always like to make connections. Mind you it is just connections. I also believe in coincidences. But what are the incidences that we should look at?

1) for making the u-turn from using the indelible ink, the oppositions make it a point that the BN was behind this. The BN is cheating they said.

2) for making the u-turn from using the indelible ink, UMNO expressed their regret for the EC not using the indelible ink. At the same breath, they also say that they supported it.

3) for the u-turn business, MCA expressed disapointment in the EC's decision.

4) for the u-turn thingy, MIC supported the EC's decision.

So from this instances i would deduce that the opposition blames BN for the non-usage of indelible ink, whereas the majority of BN expresses their regret and have washed their hands of this business.

And then i turned to past precedences, 10 years ago, when Malaysia economy got hit, BN knows that they are in a fix. What they did then i believe was to arrange for someone to take the fall. That someone as we know was Anwar. I still believe that Anwar got kicked out because BN needs a fall guy.

I can almost believe that when BN loses 2/3 majority, there will be a massive witch hunt. Fall guys are going to be identified and be asked to take the fall. Only if the fall guys are prepared and have planned their retreat strategy would survive this arena.

Other than the 2 DAP ceramah that I attended, I have not attended any other ceramah.

There is one tonight in Kg Baru (berdekatan Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa Kampung Baru) Anwar will be there, I thought of going, I thought It would be good to show of support from a Chinese.

I wonder how does a ceramah goes in area where you have 50/50% of the voters are Malay & Chinese, and the BN candidate is a chinese, & the opposition candidate is a Malay under the Keadilan banner. How would the Keadilan guy convince the Chinese and then the Malay ? Personally I think it would be easier to convince the Malay, not because they are easier to persuade but I think this might just work as well.

"Tuan-tuan & Puan-puan sekalian, pihak Keadilan berharap untuk mendapat sokongan 100% dari penduduk Bandar Tun Razak ini. Sebab Tuan-tuan & Puan-puan perlu menyokong kami adalah orang Cina sendiri juga telah menjauhi dari menyokong MCA, kalau orang Cina sudah hilang keyakinan pada calun Cina BN mereka sendiri, maka Tuan-tuan & Puan-puan tidak perlu lagi berfikir panjang dan harus tahu pihak mana Tuan-tuan & Puan-puan perlu mengundi untuk."

There are only 2 parties to choose from, BN or the opposition. There is no such thing as an Anwar's party or a Muslin state party or even the Chinese defender party. Only 2, those that are already in power and those that are going to kick them out.

( I intended this post to be on the eve of polling day, but i not 100% convinced that there would be no disruption to the internet between now and then.)

I dont read the print media because they are not worth the paper they are printed on. I also rarely watch television and that i suspect the term "the idiot box" was coined by someone after watching our television.

I only use the internet as my window to the world.

It is refreshing that after all these years and after all the general elections that i have participated and a few where i was just observing, FOR THE FIRST TIME, i am not forced to endure the pathetic attempt by BN to induce fear and promote lies to the voters.

Internet which i believe represents the peoples' voice, is overwhelmingly anti-BN. And if i were to gauge the level of support to the opposition through the internet postings, i would say come polling day, BN would be slaughtered to the last man, woman and children-in-law.

Now that BN is cornered, i would like to reflect upon what event and when did the event took place that brought about this calamity onto BN?

Was Anwar's sacking by Mahathir the trigger event?

Or even furhter in to the past, when UMNO created may13?

Or perhaps the recent BERSIH and HINDRAF rally?

Maybe it was not an event but a series of events. Maybe it is little things which adds up to the last straw that broke the camel's back.

But whatever it is, we, the people are on the verge of victory, 3 days to polling day, please remember every single time that BN has fuck you up. Be it 10 years ago or 50 years ago doesnt matter. Then you vote.

Just for clarification, when not if BN loses 2/3 majority, it is the People's victory not the opposition's victory.

Earlier tonight I went for another DAP ceramah at Hang Tuah Flats in Kuala Lumpur just next to the Hang Tuah LRT station.

It was a large crowd as usual like most DAP ceramah, but tonights crowd was a little larger than usual as old man Uncle Lim was going for a pit stop before heading to Puchong for another ceramah.

When Lim Kit Siang arrived, it was thundering with applause, people trying to shake his hands, people trying to greet him, photographers trying to take his pictures, and all those that wasn't near him lifted their hands up to welcome him. In short it looks like a football team that has just scored a goal, and all the fans would go wild.

Not to worry, I won't bored you with the ceramah stuffs.

It is sad to see that Uncle Lim is rather old, but his signature stride was bold and confident. His 30 minutes speech was in English, Malay, Cantonese & primarily Mandarin. Just imagine, you welcome a large crowd, you shake some hands then you go up to the stage and you blast away with an adrenalin pump speech, no full-stop.

It is a sad day today.

Because there was this news about Lembah Pantai voters being blackmailled to vote for BN. The BN rep said that she would help those who rent in projek perumahan rakyat to get a home of their own.

Perhaps blackmail is too strong a word. Lets say she is "convincing" the voters to vote for her.

If i were a lembah pantai voter, i would have decided then and there that i would vote for her.

Come on, you cannot eat Maruah. Neither could Justice feed you and your family. IF she is serious about the house issue, then you guys should just vote for her lah.

Never mind that the new houses would probably be build using your own tax monies.

For those who does not want to vote BN even if the houses are the real deal, i could only say that Ideals are not money. If it is, forgive me for saying this, you would not be renting a small place in PPR, you would have been staying in a bungalow.

But then again, if i am given one ringgit for every promise that BN breaks, i would have been a millionaire.

But god help her if the houses are empty promises.

I just got to agree with yoda on this like in his previous post.

BN has just somehow awoken from their many years of slumber (I would like to say 50 years, but i liked that Hussein Onn fellow), it's like that rip van winkle guy.

Just fucking imagine, every time before the GE, the machinery starts to rumble, the lorries and the steam roller and the masses of labour works, toiling the hot afternoon sun just to re-tar the already fine road. This time around, it was a fucking shoddy work. You know what I mean, normally they would scrap a layer of tar first before applying the new coat. This time around with the surprise announcement those fuckers just lay it like peanut butter.

Then how about all those out of a sudden project that seem to appear out of nowhere. Jambatan, housing projects, water and electricity to the rural folks, extra subsidies, donations, etc etc etc. Do you actually think after so many god damn years people still fall for that fucking trick. Come on lah be more fucking imaginative lah.

One thing makes me wonder though, where the fuck did they get so much money out to do all this last minute project ? I thought the parliament was already dissolved on the 13 February 2008, who is signing all the cheques, who is approving all the projects, who is giving all the orders ? Can all this be done without a cabinet approval ?

Then of course all this can be done prior to the dissolution of parliament and just that NOW only they decide to implement all this projects.

This alone shows you their fucking sincerity to you.

It's like that dick head boss of yours (everyone has a fuck-up boss) during pay day time. They sign your pay cheque early then decide to keep it until the 3rd of the month to release to you. They are not concern about your mortgage, hire purchase, credit card debts, child care, etc etc, then come certain peak period, they are your best friends already.

If you hate your boss, you should hate your government more. They are 10x worst than your boss.

Like yoda said before, this election with YOUR help would be the start of the new beginning for the opposition, if they manage to deny BN 2/3, they have already cracked BN walls, come the 13th GE with the same commitment by the opposition parties, I suppose 50% would not be far fetch.

You had heard the ceramah, read the blogs, witness the propaganda media, now its up to you.

If that is still not enough, i reckon you declared yourself special so I personally can hold your hand to mark the 'x' for the opposition.

Desperate times for BN, BN's last stand.

First was they beat you up in BERSIH rally....

Not feeling very secure, they threaten you using the mass media, i.e. vote for dacing or else.....and the tv propoganda with the subtle threat of promising instability if we dont vote dacing.

Up till now i can understand (but dont agree on) BN's motive of using fear and intimidation on to the voters to force the votes. Doing this from their position of strength would usually yield the desired results. Usually....

But things happen.Shit happens. To walk the lion's den, as in going about in the circles of power, usually make one learn to always be on the alert. Eternal vigilance i would say. You could be the most popular guy and the next minute you would end up in jail like Anwar. Or you could be worship like a god and the moment you lose power, you would be demonised like Tun.

And now to the significance of the EC in stopping the usage of indelible ink in this election. Now who would have thought that BN would need to resort to this? Can they finally see the writings on the wall or have their strategist finally tell them that even their threats and postal and phantom voters cannot guarantee them to remain in power?

The way i see it is that BN may have lost its option to issue further threats against the voters. Not that they dont want to do it, it is more likely that they cannot do it. With the lost of this option, they have to resort to stopping the usage of indelible ink.

Why did EC did what they did? And when BN wash their hands of this by telling others that it was the EC that makes the decision and it was the EC that is responsible for postal and phantom voters, what would happen to EC? Who is going to go to jail?

I'm not saying that the BN 's a ship is sinking. It is still too early to tell. But as the saying goes, in a sinking ship, it is every man for himself. But then again, if and when i can sense that the BN ship is sinking, it would already be to late to "switch sides" or "become neutral" so to speak.

And as i was writing about in a previous post, what i think is that the opposition dont even need to form the government by winning this coming election. All they need to do is to deny BN 2/3 majority and a cascading effect would effectively wipe out BN.

I think this election will showcase the biggest propaganda news on the free TV.

As much as astro (I can live without) has been gaining ground inwards the rural areas, free TV is much depended on for night entertainment, until the lights go off, then its another census time.

I was at Putrajaya again for work and while waiting for my turn I watch TV3, and in between the propaganda news and dramas, there was ridiculous propaganda advertisement by those large corporations. I saw 2, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) & Projek Lebuhraya Utara Selatan (PLUS) telling us to protect our way of life and blah blah blah.

What the fuck ! What the fuck is this ! What the fuck are you trying to fuck with my mind!

And this is what BN calls fair election.

And the worst advertisement is when they get some people and they claim the almighty BN as their protector & saviour and they finished off with Vote Malaysia, vote BN. Last I check, both Nazri and Zam said that 10,000 or 40,000 people rallying does not represent the entire fucking Malaysian population. So how in the mother fucking way, can a handful of people that received help from BN can suddenly transform into Vote Malaysia, vote BN !

If you don't call this propaganda then fuck you.

My Dad-in Law has stock up his house with enough supplies to last till the 13th GE !

He has enough rice to stock it up out side his house to make it look like a military bunker. His 3 fridge are fill up with ayam, babi, lembu, ikan, itik, unta to name a few types of daging.

The amount of can food can feed a small country like maybe that little dot below Johor for a couple of months.

Onions, garlic, potatoes, flour, nescafe, milk, nescafe, milo, nescafe, yes may dad-in-law drinks nescafe as much as he pees, so well stock, they look like they are being ready to be ship out to 3rd world countries.

I on the other hand, has enough food to make it till the next day. I see it as a good time to go for that long overdue diet.

Friends that I meet ask me, "sudah beli tepung ? susu ? beras ?"

Its like the word of the street, is that BN is going to lose big.

But this is the catch, people on the street (Malay, Chinese, Indian dan lain-lain) seems to feel if BN were to lose its 2/3 majority or lose the government, UMNO is going to create chaos. Notice, UMNO, not MCA, not MIC, not BN, but UMNO is going to create chaos.

No bloody sane person is going to create any chaos other than UMNO.

So before you start sharpening that machete (parang) of yours, think, if you do this, you are just a a puppet for UMNO, the people that you were going to vote out in the first place.

And by the way, normally during election time, Christians just pray for peace and a safe election , period. This time around, the priest is telling us to vote wisely. Imagine all this years, all Christians do during election is pray, this time around they are told to vote wisely.

Not a post about 12th GE

This blog started out as a blog as with most other blogs, a blog where we can write about what was on our mind and was updated very frequently.... but as fun that it was back then, when the novelty starts to wane, this blog quickly becomes more like a collection as in a sketch book if you may, where the bloggers (me and ducky) come back infrequently to write about stuffs that we can both laugh at, mostly about incompetent people(you know lah who....) but realising for the first time that after so many disappointment and anger that the kleptrocratic government keep fucking up our lives, that we are no longer mere observers. We have a blog!

You know that there are some people who must go and watch a football match thinking that if they have watch the match, they as an observer could somehow influence the match such as a try at goal or a foul can be prevented or converted if only they, the observer concentrated hard enough. I would admit i have the same mentality whenever there were elections. I always say to myself if i concentrated hard enough, BN would lose.... but it didnt work.

But now that there are like 100 vistors per day to this blog (if it is a good day) there is this tiny little bit of a chance that if i tried hard enough, BN would lose 2/3 majority. Of course i know that this is so unlikely and so.....wishful thinking, about both BN losing and if they do lose, about being able to influence the votes with just a handful of blog readers. But...It beats staring at the TV when they announce the election results.

Of course the reason i am doing this now and perhaps maybe 5 years from now, is to be able to sit at a coffee shop 20 years from now, to talk about the good old times and how someone like me help to bring down BN...............together with my other great achievement of how i made Carecca slip on the ball in front of the goal during 86 World Cup!

Just so you guys know, this blog will be a marathon of posts from now till 8 March. After that normal blog activity would resume. Which means....almost no activity at all...almost.

Beginning of the end for BN?

The was a crowd in Penang yesterday to attend the ceramah by the opposition. The honorable opposition speaker/candidates....(i will refer to the opposition candidates as honorable and to be fair to the BN candidate i will refer them as the humbled with a 'd' as in very humbled meaning tak angkuh. Dont blame me if i get it wrong..my english not very good....) drew in large numbers of participants to the ceramah.

All indication points to the genuine possibility that the humbled BN would lose their 2/3 majority.

Now this is what i think would happen to BN if they lose the 2/3 majority.....

1) There would be no more politics of fear. A weakend BN would not be able to threaten anyone or any communities anymore.

2) The other branches of the government such as the judiciary would not be seen as to be playing to the tune of the government.

3) the PDRM would not be a "subsidiary" of BN.

4) the main stream media would not be a propoganda mouthpiece for BN.

5) the Election commission would be neutral.

The rationale for my above assumptions are that people thinks ahead. No need to think too far ahead, they only need to think 5 years ahead(after BN losses 2/3 majority). The above stakeholders needs to hedge their bet. Previously when BN have 2/3 majority, BN would be the overwhelming favourites. But with less than 2/3 even with unfair elections, it would make people stop and think. Are they betting on the wrong horse as in the humbled BN?

Would the mainstream media still be in business after the 13thGE after the humbled BN lose 2/3 majority in 12th GE? Well unless they want to close shop after 13th GE, they would do no better than to be neutral when the times comes.

And as for the other govt departments, they would do well to look at our Tun. At the moment our Tun retires, he was treated like he was second class citizen very much like the component parties in BN, by none other than UMNO, his party where he was the president for more than 2 decades? Now what would stop a mere government servant, say at 66 years old, who retires this year, and would be 71 years old in 5 years time, to pay for his past crimes, if any?

And so would the people not want to hedge their bet? They would be many it would seem but not everyone can for there must be a point of no return somewhere. Somewhere where an irreconcilable wrong is done.

I may be wrong but in one weeks time we would know.

I went for a DAP ceramah on Saturday night in Taman Sungai Besi, it lasted for about 3 hours.

Never have been to one before and with all the hype that all this ceramah have huge turn-outs like 1000-2000 people, I need to see for my self.

And true enough, it was a large crowd. I can't tell for sure how many, I was there early, so I was right in front but when I turn my head back I could see it was jam packed. Imagine a jalan biasa, both sides have cars parking, from where the make shift stage till the end of road, it could be 50m or less and between the stage and the end of road it was people, not including those that stand on the opposite side of the road and behind the stage.

The stage was simple, and good use of people's money, the speaker just stood behind the lorry, add some amp, speakers, we are good to go.

I went with my dad in law, a 60 odd ++ staunch DAP supporter.
They showed clips from the parliament, the usuals clowns.
Then ceramah as usual bitching about the government.
What actually surprised me was that what we take for granted from the internet media and clips from utubes, this people were actually hearing it and watching it for the first time and they were pissed, I guess if they were to read from MalaysiaToday, they might actually vomit blood.

Seputeh & Bukit Bintang MP was there Teresa Kok & Fong Kui Lun plus their assistants. Both spoke for about 30 minutes before adjourning to another session when it was already 11.30pm!

We can write as much as we like in our blogs but unfortunately most of the rakyat are still reading the local print, as to whether they agree with what they read is another thing, until one day when we can actually reach a far larger audience then just the internet users, people like your parents and grandparent, we still have some miles to travel.

Now the big question, does big crowd turnouts supporting the opposition cause means they will actually result in more people voting for the opposition ? or is it just the same crowd of people that are following the ceramah where ever they go?

I really like this "look at my track record" thing especially if it is uttered by a BN politician.

But what track record are they talking about?

Tar the road every election?

Tanam bunga at the side of the road?

Lawatan sambil belajar for local authorities?

Build a few place of worship?

What is it?

All this are their(BN) doing?

No shit they are not!

These are what we pay our cukai tanah and cukai pintu for. And that includes the amount used for lawatan sambil belajar......

But then i must ask what happen to our tax monies?

I pay income tax, road tax, service tax, rokok tax, arak tax, import duty for car, on top of the previously mentioned cukai tanah and cukai pintu. What did i get back or rather, what did the country get back from all this? Apart from lining the pockets of BN leaders, what does our tax do for us?

But coming back to the track record that the BN politicians ask us to look at......

What track record? Or do they mean track and field record? As in 100 metres dash?

Build some house of worship? Thats' our cukai pintu nad cukai tanah working.

Tar some roads? Thats our road tax working.

Tanam bunga on the roadside? That is our cukai tanah and cukai pintu working for the BN politicians to pay off their cronies!!!

What other things that you do BN politicians?

Lastly and most importanatly i must comment on this thing i read in the papers about Lembah Pantai MP asking us to look at her track record and vote her for another term.

What track record, i ask myself.What did you do for the penduduk in Lembah Pantai? Even more proposterous was what did the datuk sharizat did when an indon sounding MP mention the bocor tiap-tiap bulan thingy. Where were you datuk when your own kaum hawa got sexually harrased? How can you even talk about policies and such when you cant even open your mouth about sexual harrasment in the parliament?

But that is just me thinking loudly lah. I am not even a voter in Lembah Pantai. Hey but isnt Puteri reformasi standing in that constituency?Maybe it is time to send somebody with REALLY DO SOMETHING to the parliament.

Blogger the_earthinc has started an initiative to promote bloggers contesting in this coming election. I have to confess that i do not even know any one of them. And the only one that i read is Jeffooi. I have heard of Nik Nazmi and Tony Pua but i have no idea who is Elizabeth and Chegu Bard. And so i could not promote in any practical way, the bloggers that are standing in this GE.
But since we are on this topic, i would like to give my two cents worth on the face off between the bloggers and their respective opponents.

1) Nik Nazmi vs BN somebody...

Yup, i admit i dont even know who is contesting against Nik Nazmi. Actually i dont even know much abaout Nik Nazmi. Also another confession, i dont even know what their poilcies are.

But what i do know is that Nik Nazmi is from PKR. And PKR is about justice. They fight for justice. Justice and fairness which is sadly been deprieved from us by BN.

BN somebody standing against Nik Nazmi, i also dont know about him/her. Neither do i care about what his/her policy are. Because in BN there is no policy. Example was that guy from MIC who buat bising when a foreign medical school's degree was not recognised by BN govt. Now MIC is supposed to fight for the Indians....So out of 9 parliamentarians, only one buat bising. That also Najib come and suspend him.

So ladies and gentlemen, irrespective of what BN person tell you about what they fight for, in the end they would have to toe the line.

2) Tony Pua vs Chew Mei fun

Again i only know about Chew and not Pua. Pua is from DAP so as you guys know and if you watch YouTube, in parliament, each and every DAP member always kena hantam from somebody who talks like an Indon. Seriously you may want to watch the bocor comment thingy in Youtube. An Indon MP or is it some MP in Malaysia that talks like an Indon would come and heckle the DAP MPs. And no offence against LKS and i have always respected his views and admired his fights, but LKS talks like ...an ahpek....So if anyone wants some seriously good speaking person to whack those BN Indon MP, get Tony Pua in.

About Chew Mei Fun, i can only say this, while she was recuperating after her accident, she came up with a brilliant plan to fish for votes. The brilliant plan was to threaten the non malays by promissing another May 13 if she was not voted in. But comeonlah...She is Chew mei fun from MCA, not Chew binti Abdullah from Umno... and so cannot follow through with her threats. Dont need to say she can cause racial riots, she want to cut off water supply to your house pun takde kuasa. Dshlah as her colleague in BN likes to say, she is being punished by god for being in the wheelchair.

3) Elizabeth Wong vs BN somebody

No idea buot Bn person. Also no idea bout Elizabeth. Please read No. 1) Nik Nazmi vs Bn somebody.....

4) Jeff Ooi vs BN somebody

All i can say is.....there was this rumour.....from my friend's friend.....his uncle told him because his uncle's friend heard it from his colleague who is direct decendant of HangTuah mentioned that the next CM of Penang is going to be an Umno guy! Gerakan is getting PPPed.

Of course i dont believe in this rumourlah....especially if the person claim to be direct decendent of hang tuah. But still this is a rumourlah.....

5) CheguBard vs Khairy Abdullah

Again i'm sorry i do not know who chegubard is..... But i think i know khairy...

Khairy, as one BN MP(the one who metioned bocor, also known as the Indon MP) said, is a penjenayah! As that Indon said, those person who demonstrate are penjenayah. Khairy is photoed commiting the said act on condolezza rice during her visit to Malaysia.

I can only say that demonstartion is tak salah. But you must also see lah who you want to demonstrate.... As with Nazri who piss of the CM of Tamil Naidu, Khairy dont lah try to piss off the scretary of state of Uncle Sam. Both India nad US are nuclear power you know...

The danger of getting Khairy in the parliament is that he would be given a chance to tag team with Nazri to piss off the world powers. If they were to piss of indonesia as in the karate instructor, that also not that damaging lah. Indonesia is unlikely to send their submarine here. But if khairy or nazri was to grab hold of some North Korea guy then we Malaysians are fucked. Kim Jong Ill might not be as forgiving as Tamil Naidu CM or US Secretary of State.....

I am wondering now why is BN trying so hard to win Kelantan. All this while i was under the impression that the smart thing for them to do is to lose it to PAS. I am not saying BN would win even if they tried but you may never know that BN might luck out and win Kelantan. Then BN would have won the battle and lost the war....

Remember the nude squat thingy a few years back? There was this video clip of a nude woman who is purportedly a chinese national. BN was so scared that they immediately send a minister to China to appologise. This is China, who is not even a superpower.

Then late last year, after the Hindraf effect, our Nazri Racist made the remark that Tamil Naidu should mind their own business. This mind your own business remark came soon after his genius deduction and insight that Bar council march was planned by the opposition. The feeling of euphoria for the brilliant insight must have made him feel invincible. Invincible enough to take on India. But of course many of those in power does not think so. And so our Semi was summoned to India to explain and to calm the situation. This is India which is also not a superpower.

Now who said Semi is not relevant? Without our Semi, India would have sailed a few aircraft carrier to Port Klang. Then we're fucked! Really! Our Kerismuddin who can scare half the population of Malaysia shitless waving his Keris would only last like 5 seconds against an aircraft carrier.

And then there is Uncle Sam(America not Samy!) the worlds only Superpower probably could take on both China and India together! During the 1950's right up to the early 90's Malaysia could do all sorts of things in the name of fighting the Communist. Uncle Sam, the self appointed world police and human rights enforcer basically close one eye to Malaysia. Heck Uncle Sam even permitted someone like Suharto to murder hundreds of thousands of people. All this in the name of fighting communist. But then during the end of 1990's when the communist threat was over, people like BN's, Golkar's and Bath's (to name a few), past came back to haunt them when Uncle Sam decided to "punish" them for all their past abuses.Saddam Hussien was invade and Suharto was brought down. And we all know that Mahathir was this close to being brought down. And then because of BN's past sins, the Malaysia Economy took a hit and all of us try to rough it out for the next few years until.....

And then a new chapter of relation between Uncle Sam and Malaysia started. All BN got to say to Uncle Sam was that they are also fighting "terrorists" as in PAS(potrayed as such by BN) for Uncle Sam to give them all the leeway that BN wants. Think back....Did Uncle Sam make a fuss about the Hindraf detainess? Wasnt it wierd that the world's policeman kept quiet when human rights was abused?

So now as long as there is a threat to Uncle Sam that Malaysia might end up like Afganistan, (probably potrayed as such by BN to bullshit Uncle Sam) they would tolerate BN's human rights abuses. At least until the so called threat is neutralised. By winning back Kelantan?

Personally i dont care whether or not Uncle Sam come and sweep BN off the floor. I am concerned only about Malaysians(or specifically us working class) being the collateral damage when Uncle Sam decides to embargo us or something like in Iraq in 1990's.

American Idol & 12th General Election

You know the 12th General Election is much like the American Idol.

You have this bunch of 20 people, all trying to be the next American Idol, to be judged and commented by Randy, Paula & Simon. Then people in America cast their preference via sms votes.

Our 12th GE have the 222 parliamentary contestants and some hundreds of states candidates, these are the idols, the judges are the local bias print media, the electronic media and the bloggers. And finally the rakyat the ultimate vote caster.

For the American Idol, I think it is pretty simple, my choice top 3 choices would be that Michael Johns, that young kid & 1 of the girls. Of course my choice would be Michael.

GE is another thing, it's not about having the best guys for the position (which should be the case) but a more complex thing that ordinary rakyat like you and me would not begin to understand. It's all about power and connections, legacy, money, corruption and more corruption.

But if the rakyat is so pissed with the Government, why are most of them still not convinced to vote for the opposition and get rid of this useless bunch of MP once and for all.

I guess its a fear of political instability, economic downturn, losing of foreign investment, losing of our corruption ways of doing business, and the mother of all fear, the May 13 incident.

Dear people we gain independence without shedding any blood, which I think very little countries in the world can share that, but does it have any meaning to you ? Personally it doesn't have much meaning to me. I couldn't say my grandfather fought in that war to bring independence to our country, all I can say maybe was my grandfather was serving food during the proclamation of our independence, and he kept the serving tray for souvenir !

To gain some political milestone change some form of luxury have to be sacrifice.

Last point I would like to share would be the BN constant reminder to us that since the opposition cannot work together since they all have their own agenda and plans, chances are they cannot have a working and running Government.

I don't think so and I don't think the opposition has use this reminder for their own benefit yet. Put it this way, the current BN leadership is the PM is always right, when the PM say is right, all component party has to agree, even if you don't agree. If you don't agree and decide to be vocal about it, go see the disciplinary committee for some brain washing.

You have 3 main very different component parties, with their own agenda and plans, yes they cannot work together, they will be arguing a lot, but isn't that what parliament members suppose to do, use their intellectual capacity to serve the best interest of the people that voted them there ? And not simply agree with the main component party even at the cost of losing out ?

What will happen if Barisan Alternatif (Rakyat?) wins the 12th G.E.?

Before this 12 GE kick off, i tried to be as objective as possible and would like to listen to what the political parties have to say before deciding on who to vote for. But then BN suddenly gave me a big help by kicking off their campaign with.....a lie. AAB dissolved the parliament on the day he said he would not.

And then the BN candidates started their campaigning with spreading fear. The worst fear monger were the MCA candidates themselves! They have all but promised another May13 if the voters do not vote them in. Which is totally bullshit. MCA cannot, by themselves start a racial conflict. UMNO can and have done it before. So it makes little sense to vote MCA when the person with the finger on the trigger is UMNO. When and if the MCA or even the MIC try to give you this shit again, all you need to do is to fly the UMNO flag and join the UMNO supporters club, then those lapdogs would not be able to even touch you. Like in a business meeting, you would not want to talk business with the gardener or the office cleaner, you would always want to talk with the managers. Perhaps it is time to eliminate the "middleman" in this equation?

And then there was corruption. Malaysians are becoming numb to the corruptions of BN. Billions of billions are being sucked out of the country's coffers by BN. And what did the BN say about this? He said worked hard and we should know it. Given that there are people(me included) who makes jokes at his expense that he is a 'kaki tidur'. I still dont understand how can he try to rebuild his image merely by deflecting peoples attacks on his sleeping habit. How about this, alright Pak lah, we believe you have been working hard and all but please explain why is it there is so much corruption.

Please take corruption seriously. It is not mere numbers, those millions and billions. Lets put it this way,

For the lack of a few hundred ringgit, someone would starve.

For the lack of a few thousand ringgit, someone would be unable to undergo live saving surgery

For the lack of a few tens of thousand ringgit, someone would have to die in an accident in a proton car

For the lack of a few hundred thousand ringgit, Altantuya have to die.

For the lack of a few million ringgit......someone have to "borrow" money to buy ECM Libra shares.

Except for the few million ringgit, please ask yourself how many people gotta die because the public money was siphoned off to someone in power?

We need a new Government

You have heard some ceramah, you have seen new manifesto, the posters are up, the flags are flying, the banners are waving, everyone talking about it from the mamak stalls to the dinner tables, half of the total contents of local papers are all about the 12th General Election, every money making blogger is writing about it since it makes good traffic, its in the news, its there and every where, punters are already taking up bets, 1:10, 1:100, how about you ? Have you made up your mind ?

BN by actual fact has no right to come out with a new Manifesto since it has not completed it previous election Manifesto yet. It's like you haven't completed one project, you abandon it with funds already allocated, and start a new project with spanking new equipment and funds. Wow ! what great way of using resources.

But most of all BN has no right to call for a new Manifesto because all this plans and projets are what they were suppose to do in the first place, for the last 50 years ! Not to only bring it up every 4 to 5 years during an election !

Now for the first time, the Opposition actually has come to terms with reality. That there is no point in arguing that they can do better with whatever BN is doing right now but instead to consolidate whatever BN had done till now. Not more development but people development. We do not need anymore "World's biggest or tallest or whatever" we need development for the rakyat, we need to try to stop our best brains from leaving the country, we need a strong education hub, strong and convincing teachers (those that we had during the 60s, 70s & 80s), we need to take care of our health, our environment, our homes and family. We need to weed out corruption, we need to amend back the constitution for it to be fair and just. We need a new government.

Are we really serious for a new government.

I always wonder whether opposition Mp are awarded contracts just like BN Mp.

I dun know but Yoda said big NO.

If it is a big NO, then why are the oppositions still contesting every GE, when the chances of winning are slim.

What do they get out of it ?

Or are they really fighting for our rights ?

To believe they are actually fighting for our rights is a little immature.

I guess if we are really serious about changing the government, then we should all vote for the opposition this time around. There are no guarantees that they will be better then BN, but one thing for sure, new people/blood always does thing better then the old people. Always.

Then 5 years later, give BN back a chance, see how they do.

Whether they have repented from their old ways or are they too old to be taught.

If they goes back to their old ways, we give it back to the opposition.

At least this way, neither component parties will be sleeping away until election time, cause if they do, we just give it back to the other party.

Statistically wise, the opposition stand a chance to deny BN of a 2/3 majority

Statistic are not all 100% accurate, but to a certain extent they are quite acceptable.

If you take the past 11 election, swallow it and spit it out with some computation, you can get all sorts of analysis.

I decide to take the easiest approach.

There are 2 results.

I will take DAP, PAS, PKR & BEBAS best election year in terms of seats won, put that in the 2008 election, the balance would be BN share of seats.

That would give me 64 (28.83%) seats to the opposition and 158 (71.17%) seats to BN.

Second result takes into account the increase in number of seats from 1986 of 177 to 222 in 2004 & 2008.

That would give me a more favourable figure of 79 (35.59%) seats to the opposition and 143 (64.41%) seats to BN.

FYI, opposition parties winning the max seat in different elections.

PAS won 27 (14%) in the 1999 election (Total seats 193)
DAP won 24 (13.5%) in the 1986 election (Total seats 177)
PKR won 5 (2.5%) in the 1999 election (Total seats 193)
BEBAS won 8 (2.5%) in the 1999 election (Total seats 193)

Would you actually believe that in this darn age, year 2008, adults in Malaysia still thinks that if they were to vote for the opposition, the oppoition can actually win the GE and form a Government !

As you can see the only people that are really excited about the elections are the oppositions.

The only reason I will always vote for the opposition be it DAP, PAS or PKR is to reduce that majority of BN.

I have done my part, by telling everyone I know on this planet, that the opposition can never form a government if they voted for them, what they can do is only reduced the majority of BN.

I went down to Putrajaya this morning and saw flags for about a couple of kilometres, BN flag, UMNO flag then Malaysia flag then the same order for a couple of kilometres, then a bigger banner with Dollah's face on it and slogan "undilah Barisan nasional" then the flags then the banners again.

So is it that you can't put up the picture of the candidate in that area until nomination day but you can put up flags and banner of a certain party plus the picture of the leader of that certain party ?

So that means if you live in Kepala Batas and they put up a banner that say undilah untuk Barisan Nasional and Dollah picture is there, you can make a report to the EC ?

I bet if they have a DAP banner in Ipoh Timur with Uncle Lim's face there with undilah untuk DAP, EC might actually take some action.

Or I could be wrong and just being paranoid.

Unneeded speculation on GE's timing and the 'Anwar effect'

Years ago me and some of my friends were shocked to learn that in North Korea, Kim Jong Ill is not only the paramount leader, he was also the country's most famous idol very mush like Awie and Erra Fazira is to Malaysia. (pre Mawi and Siti days)

But now i just realised, ironically, in Malaysia and only in Malaysia(Malaysia Boleh!) are there politicians that is even more idolised than the idols of the day (such as Siti Nurhaliza and Mawi).

Case in point, when was the last time we have heard anything about Siti? When was the last time we heard anything about Mawi? Or this one, who is Siti's father in law? Dont know? Me neither.
But tell me you dont know this... Who recently said " i work hard and you know it"? Who said "stupid, stupid, stupid" ? Who is Khairy's father in law? If you dont know the aswers for all these 3 question then you are probabaly not a Malaysian!

To be sure that it can only happen in Malaysia, lets try some foreign questions.... Who is George Bush Jr.'s wife? And then who is Brad Pitt's wife? Ok name me the current Vice president of USA? In F1 who got 2nd overall behind Kimi in 2007 champoinship?

To these four question, i only know the answer for 2 of them. Angelina Jolie and Lewis Hamilton.

Ok then final test to prove once and for all that Malaysians think politics, play politics, sleep politics and eat politics :

Now on the serious side of things, ducky was saying about Abdullah setting the GE date so that Anwar cannot contest and all this, it finally hit me that this is not about electing a government, but it is all about a voting for a beauty paegent or an Oscar for Best actor.

Think about it... lets say IF Anwar can contest and IF he wins, he would be only become an MP and/or a State assemblyman. What can one MP or State assemblyman do? IF BN get 2/3 majority, what can one MP do even if it was Anwar? And if Anwar wins, would the BN government suddenly shake in their pants and actually serve the people for a change? In the impossibly and illogicaly event that he gets to be in power through BA or BN, what would he do?

Please remember he is the very same person who after the collapse of Malaysia economy in 1996, he blamed Chinese and Indian for pursuing tertiary education in foreign countries(because our own country would not let us study here) for the cause of the economic collapse because the students parents paid for the expensive school fees which created an outflow of monies.

But for all the spits and curses we put on the Tun, at least he did not scapegoat the monorities in the country for what clearly is the mismanagement of the economy by the government.

Would we dare to think that if instead of Anwar being checked by the Tun at that time, or if the Tun were to blink for a moment, would Anwar had led a bloodbath right here in our Malaysia?

I mean i could accept that Anwar, Tun and Pak Lah certainly appears larger than life for us Malaysians but it is really wishful thinking from their fanboys/girls and groupies that Anwar has the ability or most importantly the will to effect a change. But dont get me wrong, if it is between PKR and any BN party, i would vote PKR but just not Anwar.

Dollah should have waited for Anwar

Parliament has been dissolved, Nomination day fixed and Election day announced.

Personally I would think Dollah would had more credibility if he had dissolved Parliament and fixed the nomination and election day after Anwar is allowed to contest.

That way at least he can say he really has forgotten about Anwar and another way to show that Anwar is irrelevant anymore.

And at least he can show that he has balls.

I believe everyone is matured enough and truly understand how election works.

BN can never lose, even if everyone you know voted for the opposition.

It can never happen and as far as I can see it wont happen anytime in my lifetime.

So go out and vote for the opposition, be it PAS, PKR or DAP. It wont matter, 2/3 is guaranteed like your epf except in 1969.

I would do that, vote for pak lah if, IF, i am a voter in his constituency AND he is standing against Tun Dr. M. Unfortunately i am not a voter in his constituency and i am quite sure we wont see the Tun coming out of retirement. A pity.

Lets be frank.... The era of Pak Lah is ( minimally)better than Tun's era. It is better in the sense that this country is( a tiny little) more free. And about his alleged 'weakness' of sleeping on the job , if you analyse it deeply enough, you would find that it is his greatest asset as a Malaysian politician.

Lets think about it, would you prefer say some hardworking politician who dictate that everyone speak bahasa baku, or some energentic politician that that argues with others like in a pasar malam using insulting words or making sexist/racist remarks? Wouldnt you rather have politicians just sleeping there all the time and refrain from doing harm to us, the rakyat by nature of him not doing anything at all?

The ideal government for Malaysia is that there are 200MPs of Pak Lah clones. With that there would have been no amendment of constitution for EC chairman's term extension because the MPs would either be sleeping or out of the country. And also no shouting match in the parliament because again, the MPs would have been sleeping or out of the country.

Heck lets make UMNO politicians Pak Lah's clone. A keris waving incident would never happen as everyone would be sleeping.

How about MCA politicians were to be replaced by Pak Lah's clone? Well things would be more or less the same. The current MCA politicians might be in fact Pak Lah's clone with a genetic modification that they could sleep with their eyes open and most importantly doing nothing.

Maybe MIC politician replaced by Pak Lah's clone? No luck! Sami would still be president. Because he recently revealed that no army can stop him. Not even an army full of Pak Lahs. Or especially an army full of Pak Lahs!!!

If the klang assemblyman was not Zakaria but it was Pak Lahs clone, the Mansion would not have been built. He would have stayed in P. Lim's house instead like in Ozzie.

What else?

Lingam and CJ would not have gone on a vacation overseas. Because they might never know, Pak Lah could be the fising champion in Lake Wakatipu.

For foreign policy leverage, Malaysia would have a travelling embargo on specific country. If only Pak Lah dont go on a holiday in that country, that country's tourism industry would be severly hit.

Jokes aside....Seriously speaking, We have to ask ourselves what good is a BN politician if not for stealing the country's riches? It is a case of a thief entering your house, would you rather the thief be someone smart where all the valuable things get carted away or would you prefer a thief who sleeps on the job most of the time?

In the above setence i used BN politicians and not the oppositions politicians because i am quite sure the opposition politicians would not be in the position of power where they can rob you blind because afterall i have an EC, electronic calculator in my pocket and BN also has EC in their pocket.

I would have said please vote wisely if not for BN having EC in their pocket. Now I could only hope that the BN nomination would have lots of sleepyheads or we are fucked for the next 5 years or so. But just in case the nomination does not go as planned, we should try and vote opposition because there is no harm in trying. But if it is vote for Pak Lah, please let his opponent 'hilang deposit' which would send a strong signal to BN to field more of Pak Lah type as candidates.

And the BN answer was always that Federal Territory already had too many Public Holidays, and that was that.

And now with the General Election around the corner, low support from the Rakyat, even lower support from the Indians minority, the BN being cornered, starts shoving gifts up our asses.

Next before you know, The Keris Wielding Man, Hishammuddin will declare again that schools are really free and that schools will refund all additional fees that has been charged. To top that EPF comes out with a 7.00% dividend ! FINAS decide to allow some R-Rated movies at the Cineplexes after midnight to married couple only, FELDA will be giving more free land to the Bumis, Petrol prices will be re-subsidise at RM1.33 if the Rakyat gives the BN a 2/3 majority and an even lower subsidy of up to RM1.00 if BN win by a landslide. Other freebies might include a free Proton Juara with every Perdana bought, an air asia ticket to Golok for every MAS return ticket bought to Had Yai and a life time ASTRO subscription with the minimum package of course when you trade in your Vios/City/Sentra/Avanza/ for a Proton.

Talking about Astro, I think I would like to come out with a bumper sticker that sound like this

What is the correct price for oil?

Our DPM said that if the petrol price is decreased, it would bankrupt our country. He further said that should the petronas profits at 70 to 80 billion('000 millions) be diverted to subsidise oil, there would be no money left for road building, etc. et al, among other things...

After reading the statement from thestaronline, the only thing that i felt was that i am damn pissed off.

Not because of him wanting to make some political statement or something, it was the standard of things that is said to his audience.( that would make you and me his audience)

A hypotethical scenario to illustrate my point:-

Say there was a serial killer running away from the scene of a crime carrying a bloody knife and bumped in to you and your friends. Instead of turning the around and run away, the serial killer look at you and your friends and say "this is not blood on my knife. I have just use it to cut tomato. It is actually tomato sauce on my knife."

What would you do in the above scenario? Run away? Running away is the smart thing to do probably. But not me. No way in hell.... I am going to beat that serial killer to a pulp. And i am not the heroic kind and neither am i too concern that i am being lied to....

The simple reason being that the serial killer THINKS THAT I AM STUPID ENOUGH to believe that tomato sauce comes out from tomato by cutting the tomato.

OK...Coming back to the DPM statement about 70 to 80 billion to finance the oil subsidy, can anyone remember our PM said that by increasing petrol price by 30 sen, the govt could save 4 billion?

Using what our PM says, 30 sen for 4 billion, at current price of RM 1.92 p/litre of petrol, if the price were to be subsidised to RM 1.02 p/litre, petronas would have to absorb just 12 billion. Thats a lot of money but it is nowhere near fucking 70 billion.

Actually from what i understand from oil economics, the higher the crude oil price, the more able petronas can subsidise. No, really. No bullshit. A typical oil price...

40% crude oil
40% conversion of crude to oil
20% govt tax

A rough estimate : say crude is 3 times more costly than it was a couple of years ago, when it was RM 1.10 p/lt. Probably crude was 50 sens and the remainder 60 sens is the conversion cost plus tax. Hence we could say that crude is now RM1.50 and that conversion cost plus tax maybe 70 sen which makes a grand total of RM 2.20 p/lt. Which is probably close enough to the billboard we see everywhere.

Then comes Petronas profit. Petronas as we all know is taking the crude in Malaysia by just paying 5% royalty. Hence a 95% profit on crude minus extraction cost which should be roughly constant throughout the years. By doing simple calculations, we could safely say that the higher the crude price, the higher Petronas profit is. And most importantly the proportionate increase in profit of Petronas is higher than the price of oil paid for in petrol stations.

NOW WHY THE FUCK IS THE POLITICIANS KEEP ON STATING THAT THE BLOOD ON THE KNIFE IS TOMATO SAUCE WHEN THEY CUT A TOMATO?

Why you must vote against Barisan Nasional

The problem is that those that already know why they must vote against Barisan Nasional has internet connection.

Those that are not reached by electronic media has to rely on local bogus media to read about the one sided political climate in the country.

Lets not even compare countries.

We have a ruling government that is so fucking arrogant about their leadership that they refuse to listen and accept changes. Having not lost election for the past 50 years has further boosted their arrogance.

We know from history that Barisan Nasional is a sore loser. May 13. Self explanation.

Any form of change/criticism from the component party even though right is not acceptable. Change/criticism from rakyat to opposition will forever be considered creating a racial tension.

Component parties members that do not agree with the Dollah's ideas/policies are advised to resign from their party or sack or suspended.

Rakyat and opposition parties will be prosecuted with any damn thing under the sky and strangely the court decision always side with Barisan Nasional.

Rakyat and opposition can be charged with various ridiculous charges with vague arguments and evidence and most times illogical reasons that once again the courts will side with the Barisan Nasional.

Its like working a project in your company, but you somehow did not manage to complete it. So your reason to your boss is that you did not have enough time to do it. And your boss say it is ok.

It is not OK, how can a fucking judge take an answer without a reason. It is full of shit.

The reason why you should vote against Barisan Nasional is simply yo reduce their majority in parliament, you can be assure that no where in hell Barisan Nasional is ever going to lose in the elections. Your uncles and aunts with 6 bungalows and millions in banks and investment will make sure that Barisan Nasional will be winning election for the next 100 years.

I dont know about you but I cant take the fact that my Government treat me like a child, by lying and telling me tall tales all the time and every solution seems to be either May 13 or ISA.

Save Malaysia from further embarassment

A couple of days ago...or was it yesterday, our DPM remarked that US should look at their Guatanamo Bay first before criticising BN govt use of ISA. To me, after reading the rebuke by the DPM to US, i got this uneasy feeling that it was a big mistake. I would have prefered the DPM to give the US the middle finger or even show them the keris rather than tell them to look at Guatanamo Bay first among other things and for the US not becoming like the proverbial pot calling the kettle black.

What now after DPM made this rebuke? What concessions will we have to make? What price are we going to pay for the international community to overlook BN's indiscretion?

For one Malaysia would lose its voice regarding world matters. Malaysia would risk being called a hypocrite or be embarrased by being hit back with our own statement * look at your ISA first before you comment on our xxxxxx. * if Malaysia were to make a stand against some other country's unjust policy.
For example :
IF Israel were to detain some palestinians without trial, WHEN Malaysia were to give a protest statement, Israel MAY reply that Malaysia should look at ISA first instead of Palestine.

OR risk being labeled a hypocrite if they were to urge Myanmar to free Aung San Suu Kyi.

On our domestic side, would the govt give immunity to criminal who detain people illegally such as kidnappers? Would the kidnappers argue that the govt should look at ISA first before prosecuting them?

I would like to think that the above would not happen but political precedents seems to support the above scenario.

Now let us remember Zakaria's Palace. I remember that in order for BN to save Zakaria's Palace, they have to forego prosecuting hundreds of thousands(as stated by Toyo) of similiar and thus, illegal buildings.

Who would have guessed a simple reactionary rebuke would have such embarasing concequences? But by blogging the problem, i would also offer a solution...

Here's my two cents worth on how to avoid further embarassments....

The DPM should go and sit down with his counterpart from US, Israel, UK and Myanmar and get them to agree not to mention ISA. Then the DPM would agree to not to mention Guatanamo Bay, Palestine, Diana, Aung San Syu Kyi.

THEN, if the US were to whack Iran or Israel were to whack Syria or UK were to discriminate against muslim or Myanmar were to kill journalists, Malaysia could still make some noise and PRETEND to be righteous.

Of course you all may also agree to have a clause for mutual support if, say, when one of you make a statement while giving a left eye wink to the camera or, say, having a keyword like "security". The government came into power promising a "new order". Then the government proceded to rob the country blind while declaring that his predecessor left him an empty treasury. After these deeds were found out, the government promptly announce a state of emergency and detained arbitrarily any dissident in the name of national security. And then by interfering in the country's judiciary and other branch of government, including amending the constitution to extend the retirement age of a certain friendly office bearer to the ruling party, the government manage to solidify its cleptocratic hold on to the country. The country mass media was also tightly controlled by the government to prevent people to know the truth. But eventually the people found out.... then there was mass demonstrations which forced the ruling elites to flee the country.

Yes you read that correctly. The ruling elites were exiled. Of course if you have ommited reading the last sentence, you might have thought i was referring to the BN government. But i wasnt referring to them although there are striking similiarities.

I was actually referring to Ferdinand Marcos's Philipines in the 1970s.

Now for all the things Malaysia have achieved, with all the resources, with the biggest government(minister to population ratio wise), all they can do is to plagiarise a thirty year old political manouver from the Philipines? First of all I need to say this.

OK That being said, tomorrows Hindraf rally, I do do hope nothing bad happen. Why things might get ugly ? Because in boleh land, the Indians always get bad treatment by the PDRM. Many of them has been abused and killed in police custody and God knows what else. Yes, Indians are a little violence at times, but so are we all, if you are as discriminated all the time you might get a little pissed off too.

Back to the rally, the thing is, if this rally is really going to be attended by a majority of Indians, and things get ugly, those FRU will not hesitate exchange blows, hard blows, not just water cannons and tear gas. And why are we all so concerned ? Because if this thing really happens the BN gamen will use this ugly incident as another May 13 trump card. And you can forget about BERSIH having another rally or a march by lawyers. The BN gamen will not hesitate to use this incident again and again to remind everyone why illegal assembly is not allowed and this is the consequence when rules are broken.

Anyway you look at it, the BN gamen will have the upper hand. And it is bad for the opposition, the NGOs', BERSIH or any organization in the future.

Lets hope that I and many others like minded people are wrong, and that this Hindraf protest will be a peaceful and safe one.

After careful consideration, I realised my post in some sense is telling people not to attend the Hindraf's rally. That would be selfish of me. And to claim that the BN gamen will gain another trump card, is just being naive. The May 13 incident happened some nearly 40 years ago and to related this to that is careless.

So what the fuck am I actually trying to say then ?

Truthfully ?

Indians are the poorest race in this country, neglected by their leaders, insulted and discriminated. And for once in their life time they can actually do something, say something, express something, just something, and they are doing it now, a protest, a rally.

The mothers'/wives/partners' of dead Indian fathers'/husbands'/friends' under the the prejudice and discriminating laws of the authorities, has no comfort/disclosure/peace. Yes I have no right to talk about this, but this people are pissed, I would be pissed too, and so would you, Malay, Chinese, Iban..............

It's not about a racial thing, it is not about a trillion ringgit, it's about poverty, respect and standing side by side with your brethens when in need, it's what that Petronas advertisement that is played over and over again on that Tangga Tiga Puluh Satu Ogos.....

And yes they have nothing to lose, but everything to gain.

Since Asian Food Channel kick off on astro, my wife has been cooking non stop and waist line has been increasing non stop as well.

Before AFC, it was just Jaime Oliver and some Anthony Bourdain, now its like a 24 hours cook show.

Other than all the food that was cooked and tuck away, one small little thing caught my little attention. The apron that this British cooks seems to be wearing, you might notice it as well, blue and white stripe aprons.

Why do butchers wear those navy blue and white striped aprons?

This is a tradition of our meat trade today, just as the straw boater is the mark of the British butcher.

Causality in Malaysia

We learnt that World War 1 started because of an assassination of an Austrian priest.

We also learnt that America becomes involve in World War 2 because of the Pearl Harbour incident.

Closer to present time, we are aware that America invaded Afganistan because of the World Trade Centre attack.

And then America invaded Iraq because of Iraq having Weapons of Mass Destruction.

I know. As the list goes on it becomes more and more ridiculous that the root cause of war is something so irrelevent (when viewed with hindsight after knowing the consequences)

But in the true spirit of Malaysia Boleh, we have the most ridiculous causality in which to bring about changes in policy(fortunately not war).

Works minister is going to ban superbikes because one of them allegedly overtook him on the highway!

As an observer of history i would not comment on the casuality of war in Europe/Middle East because frankly it does not effect me personally. Superbikes does not effect me either because i don't ride bikes. But what may or will effect me is the reaction of the govt to the cause, for example...

What if an imam got killed in Thailand. Would our govt declare war?

or

What if a minister step on some dog shit, would they order the culling of all the dogs in Malaysia?

Maybe the current govt in Malaysia has been in power for far too long and that this power has make them too complacent and readily flaunt their authority with impunity.

Think about it,

We have a govt that has been accused of the following(this year alone!):

Corruption - Port Klang, Russian Jets, Navy Boats, Timber deals, etc...

Crime against humanity - Batu Burok, Mongolian, Klcc protest, etc....

Defy The Constitution - Appointing Judges, curbing religious freedom, etc....

And yet, and yet they still have the political clout to litterally piss off people on superbikes as well as the Bar council.

US govt is not powerful, they have to hide the truth about WMD and prison torture. Failing to do it they retreated and kept quiet.

Burma govt is not powerful, when people found out about their killing of civilian they lay low.

Malaysia govt is the most powerful, after all that they have been accused of they can still piss of their voters and ban superbikes just because one of them overtook a minister's car on the highway.

I know Samy is stupid, you know Samy is stupid, but this time I think Samy really spoke before he even got any advised on this matter, because if he had, he would realised hell a lot of his fellow MPs are superbikers and they would gladly see him removed then to part with their beloved Harleys or their Triumph.

And to realised that a Superbiker overtook him at 170km/h, he got to be travelling at around 150/160km/h my guess. But what he should had proposed to him self is to get a better driver or a higher power litre car. Given his mentality he might get a truck, a higher litre motor vehicle.

Latest news!!!! We have all apparently been fooled by a clever opposition ploy to create a distrust in the judiciary, so says our law minister. You, me, 1000+ lawyers and probably millions of Malaysians are fooled and would have continued to be fooled if not for this latest insight by our genius minister. So i urge everyone to closely follow this genius of a minister's speech very closely as i got a hunch that in this few days, he is going to show us his genius again by revealing the colonels recipe of 11 secret herbs and spices. Genius!!!

A quick pop quiz to start of this post. Remember the guy who said this " Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid" repeat 10 times or so...

Yes the same person who with this magnificent gift of the gap also said "Racist, racist, racist" repeat 30 times. With his ocean of eloquence, it is dissapointing that this time, he only manage to say " the law is the law". He did not repeat this 10 or 20 times. He only said it once.

I have this theory that when he do not just repeat what he says to reinforce his message. I think for every "stupid" or "racist" that he said, he is refering it to a specific person. Meaning there was 30 or 40 stupid and racist in his vicinity or at least within earshot that he was trying to point out.

But coming back to him saying "the law is the law", by using my theory above, he was only refering to the poor girl's parent. It would be different if he has said "the law is the law, is the law, is the law" repeat X number of times. In that would happen, i would suspect that he would also instruct the AG to prosecute the politicians who did not pay duty for cars purchased, the politicians who did not settle their traffic summons and especially the corrupt politicians.

And thus he spoke "the law is the law". Which would have the meaning of the law is the law only to Nurin's parents. I take it from him that there is a law against parent negligience and that law would be used against Nurin's parents. The malay saying Sudah jatuh ditimpa tangga would be very apt in this case. But what if this becomes a policy? Would someone be charged for indecent exposure if that person was escaping from a rape or was raped but managed to escape in torn up clothes/naked? Would a person be charged for littering if that person was shot in public(the assumption that blood would be on the floor)?

Looking at the facts, an 8 year old going to a public place at night, in the neighbourhood can hardly be called parental negligience ( at least to me it is not. Please i don't want to debate this. Leave it as to each his own view). Heck at her age i did the same thing. Granted that the streets are a lot safer then.( who do we have to thank for making the streets unsafe nowadays)

Lastly, this guy is so powerful that even the yang amat arif calls him up to confide in him certain important issue, but he is not that powerful that he alone can instruct AG to prosecute someone(can he?appreciate if someone can shed a light on this). What i know is that the AG has the power to almost arbitrarily prosecute someone, or he could get instructions from the Cabinet to prosecute someone. So if Nurin's parents got prosecuted, they got the whole cabinet to thank for.
